Yoga is an ancient practice that has one goal: to unite body, mind and spirit. There are many different styles of yoga, but they are all paths that lead to the same destination. There is a common misconception that yoga is reserved exclusively for the young, strong and flexible -- this is not so. Yoga is open and available to anyone who seeks to look deeper into themselves and to improve their health and well being.
Lauren Maher is a certified yoga instructor and yoga therapist. She received her teacher training certification in Kundalini Yoga through Yoga West, and graduated from the esteemed two-year program in Yoga Therapy RX at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). In addition, Lauren specializes in teaching gentle yoga to cancer patients during and post treatment. She strives to make yoga accessible to everyone, and views the real benefits of yoga as what you take with you outside of class and into the world.
